Black Horse on Freedom and Energy

image

As I sat in meditation.  I asked what animals wanted to come in, and what they wanted to talk about.   One of the first animals through the archway was a beautiful black horse.  It was as though a great wind was blowing through my room.

The Black Horse said:

People talk about freedom and the most common thing in the conversation is that there are a whole lot of things that they do not want to do.  Horse has always known that freedom is about making the choice to keep the community – the herd – together and to protect one another.  Horse has learned that freedom means nothing if you are open to attack from the wolf.  Freedom is only a benefit if you can feed, water, and have young.

Black Horse in Meditation

image

Black Horse was trotting in to my meditation.  She has decided that now is the time to share some information.  She tossed her head and looked at me and said, “You are now ready.”

  • The new matrix of organization is being floated through the Universe.  This matrix changes the the way that energy moves and works together.
  • Some call this matrix the crystal or crystalline matrix because they need to put labels on all things.  Instead of the label, visualize the way that sunlight twinkles on water.  The light gleams and moves and provides shadows and brightness that are connected.  This is how the new structure comes into being.  The light holds connections at every intersection of returning light, or reflected light.

Blessings,
Judy

Dream of a Winged Horse Guide

image

I could not sleep last night, and tossed and turned.  As I finally drifted off into that zone of haziness, I heard a noise.  I looked around and I was standing in a field and a very large, white, winged horse was standing there, pawing at the ground.  She said, “Come fly with me.”

I wondered how I would sit on her back.  As it turns out, I did not need to worry. I grabbed her mane, and she lifted us both off the ground, and then, magically, I was on her back, behind her magnificent wings. The air felt cool around me, but I felt warm.  It felt like we flew for a long time, and then we landed in a large garden, behind what looked like a Labradorite castle.  My traveling companion shifted me to the ground, and walked over to an alcove, and said, “I have brought the one requested.”

My first thought that something really weird was going on.  And my second thought was that this would make a great story.  I wondered what would happen next.

A very tall woman wearing some hat that looked like a wizard’s hat, wrapped with veils, stood up and walked towards me.  She said, “I have a story to tell you about who you really are.”

“Darina who brought you here, has been guarding you all of your life, and has kept you out of trouble.  Now, we need you to understand.”

At this point, I thought things were quite surreal.  As The Lady, for that seemed to be her name, kept talking, I could not hold the thoughts.  The great horse, Darina, came over and nudged me, and I woke up.

Upon waking, I realized that since I was in that dreamy, hazy state, and now, that about five hours had passed.  And, I could not recall anything that the tall lady had said except the very beginning of the conversation.  The dream felt real.  I felt like I had been riding.  And, I was very tired.

When I am totally rested, I will call the horse and see if we can go back to this place.  I think it will be a great adventure!

Words From Chief Seattle

Chief Seattle picture is from Wikipedia.

I have heard these words many times and they still resonate with me.

Many blessings,
Judy

In 1854, the "Great White Chief" in Washington made an offer for a large area of Indian land and promised a "reservation" for the Indian people.

Chief Seattle's reply, published here in full, has been described as the most beautiful and profound statement on the environment ever made.

THE STATEMENT OF CHIEF SEATTLE

How can you buy or sell the sky, the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us.
If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?
Every part of this earth is sacred to my people.

Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every clearing and humming insect is holy in the memory and experience of my people. The sap which courses through the trees carries the memories of the red man.
The white man's dead forget the country of their birth when they go to walk among the stars. Our dead never forget this beautiful earth, for it is the mother of the red man.
We are part of the earth, and it is part of us.

The perfumed flowers are our sisters; the deer, the horse, the giant eagle, these are our brothers.
The rocky crests, the juices in the meadows, the body heat of the pony - all belong to the same family.

So, when the Great White Chief in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land, he asks much of us. The Great Chief sends words he will reserve a place so that we can live comfortably to ourselves.

He will be our father and we will be his children. So we will consider your offer to buy our land.
But it will not be easy. For this land is sacred to us.
This shining water that moves in the streams and the rivers is not just water but the blood of our ancestors.

If we must sell you land, you must remember that it is sacred, and you must teach your children that it is sacred and that each ghostly reflection in the clear water of the lakes tells of events and memories in the life of my people.
The water's murmur is the voice of my father's father.
The rivers are our brothers, they quench our thirst. The rivers carry our canoes, and feed our children. If we sell you our land, you must remember, and teach your children, that the rivers are our brothers, and yours, and you must henceforth give the rivers the kindness you would give any brother.

We know that the white man does not understand our ways. One portion of land is the same to him as the next, for he is a stranger who comes in the night and takes from the land whatever he needs.
The Earth is not his brother, but his enemy, and when he has conquered it, he moves on.

He leaves his father's grave behind, and he does not care. He kidnaps the earth from his children, and he does not care.
His father's grave, and his children's birthright, are forgotten. He treats his mother, the earth, and his brother, the sky, as things to be bought, plundered, sold like sheep or bright beads.

His appetite will devour the earth and leave behind only a desert.
I do not know. Our ways are different from your ways.
The sight of your cities pains the eyes of the red man. But perhaps it is because the red man is a savage and does not understand.

There is no quiet place in the white man's cities. No place to hear the unfurling of leaves in spring or the rustle of an insect's wings.
But perhaps it is because I am a savage and do not understand.

The Indian prefers the soft sound of the wind darting over the face of a pond, and the smell of the wind itself, cleaned by a midday rain, or scented with the pinion pine.
The air is precious to the red man, for all things share the same breath - the beast, the tree, the man, they all share the same breath.

The white man does not seem to notice the air he breathes. Like a man dying for many days, he is numb to the stench.
But if we sell you our land, you must remember that the air is precious to us, that the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports. The wind that gave our grandfather his first breath also receives his last sigh.

And if we sell you our land, you must keep it apart and sacred, as a place where even the white man can go to taste the wind that is sweetened by the meadow's flowers.
So we will consider your offer to buy land. If we decide to accept, I will make one condition: The white man must treat the beasts of this land as his brothers.
I am a savage and I do not understand any other way.

I have seen a thousand rotting buffaloes on the prairie, left by the white man who shot them from a passing train.
I am a savage and I do not understand how the smoking iron horse can be more important than the buffalo that we kill only to stay alive.
What is a man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of spirit.

For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected.
You must teach your children that the ground beneath their feet is the ashes of your grandfathers. So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin.

Teach your children what we have taught our children; that the earth is our mother.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. If men spit upon the ground they spit upon themselves.

This we know: The earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth. This we know.
All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. All things are connected.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web he does to himself.
Even the white man, whose God walks and talks with him as friend to friend, cannot be exempt from the common destiny.
We may be brothers after all.
We shall see.

One thing we know, which the white man may one day discover - our God is the same God.
You may think that you own Him as you wish to own our land; but you cannot. He is the God of man, and His compassion is equal for the red man and the white.
This earth is precious to Him, and to harm the earth is to heap contempt on its Creator.

The whites too shall pass, perhaps sooner than all other tribes. Contaminate your bed, and you will one night suffocate in your own waste.
But in your perishing you will shine brightly, fired by the strength of the God who brought you to this land and for some special purpose gave you dominion over this land and over the red man.

That destiny is a mystery to us, for we do not understand when the buffalo are all slaughtered, the wild horses are tamed, the secret corners of the forest heavy with scent of many men, and the view of the ripe hills blotted by talking wires.
Where is the thicket? Gone.
Where is the eagle? Gone.
The end of living and the beginning of survival.

My Dream of Eagles and Horses

j0262561I dreamt that I was walking the dogs when we heard a racket to the left of us as the sun was rising.  There were five eagles sitting in one tree along the river. As we watched, the eagles lifted off the perch, one by one.  Later as we walked, we saw several horses playing in a field.  It was a wonderful dream that felt like love and freedom.  It felt like I was in harmony with the Earth and the animals.  I wanted to stay there.

When I woke up, all I could see in my mind were "eagles and horses".  Later, as I was looking for some information to send to a friend, I found a link to John Denver singing "Eagles and Horses". See the words later in this post.

I am not sure why this is important.  Perhaps it is because the eagle and the horse represent freedom - freedom of movement, of thought, of infinite possibilities.  Whatever the reason, I invite you to enjoy the two links to movies about "Eagles and Horses" and lose yourself in the mystery.

The Song - EAGLES AND HORSES

Horses are creatures who worship the earth
As they gallop on feet of ivory
Constrained by the wonder of dying and birth
The horses still run, they are free

My body is merely the shell of my soul
But the flesh must be given its due
Like a pony that carries its rider back home
Like an old friend that's tried and been true

I had a vision of eagles and horses
High on a ridge in a race with the wind
Going higher and higher and faster and faster
On eagles and horses I'm flying again

Eagles inhabit the heavenly heights
They know neither limit nor bound
They're the guardian angels of darkness and light
They see all and hear every sound

My spirit will never be broken or caught
For the soul is a free-flowing thing
Like an eagle that needs neither comfort nor thought
To rise up on glorious wings

I had a vision of eagles and horses
High on a ridge in a race with the wind
Going higher and higher and faster and faster
On eagles and horses Im flying again

My body is merely the shell of my soul
But the flesh must be given its due
Like a pony that carries its master back home
Like an old that's tried and been true

My spirit will never be broken or caught
For the soul is a free-flowing thing
Like an eagle that needs neither comfort nor thought
To rise up on glorious wings

I had a vision of eagles and horses
High on a ridge in a race with the wind
Going higher and higher and faster and faster
On eagles and horses Im flying again

Horse’s World Compared To Ours

One of the universal symbols of freedom is the horse.  It has strength, speed, intelligence, and a nobility that touches peoples’ hearts. Some of the best stories and legends are about horses.

When I saw this picture, I quickly went to a place of wondering what this Earth would look like if Horse was in the place of dominance that Man is currently in.

image

Would Horse have let the planet get to the state that we are in now?

I believe that under Horse rule, the following would never have occurred:

  • fast food – they have grass and dried grass
  • cars – in fact, I don’t think they would have even invented the wheel
  • shopping malls
  • open pit mining
  • gas and oil drilling and spills and the death of many water creatures
  • logging
  • urban development and sprawls
  • tobacco/cigarettes and cigars
  • paint

I am sure there is a whole list of things to be added here.  Go ahead and suggest things to add to the list.  I will update this blog later with all your ideas.

Blessings,

Judy

Horse on Sleeping

image

I was getting ready to leave my meditation after having a Lion come in, when I heard the words, “Wait! Wait!  I have something to say!”

I settled back down on the grass in my favourite spot, and waited, as I had been asked.   A large white horse walked into my space, and settled in.  It was clear that she was a spirit animal.

“I heard your discussion with Lion about sleeping, and I thought that I would like to say something on that topic.”

“Go ahead,” I said.

The white Horse had some good things to say.

  • Make sure that you get all your harness off before you go to sleep.  You will be far more comfortable.
  • It is good to pray before you sleep.  (I piped in that I did not know that horses did prayers.  White Horse informed me that all animals pray.)
  • In nature, horses and all animals must find a safe place to sleep, or, they must have someone stand watch.  It is good to have a secure place to sleep.
  • If you cannot sleep, meditate on the wonderful life that you have.  All of us have abundance and we can meditate on abundance.  I like to think about grass, and how grass becomes hay, and as I meditate on this, I just seem to fall asleep.
  • If you have a guide or several guides (we horses have guides that will lead us to different places), then ask your guide to lead you to that place of sleep, and to stand guard.  This will keep you safe from all things.
  • If sleep doesn’t come, think about Oneness.  Oneness means that we are all part of the same pasture (eco system) and that we must all share and help each other.

I was quite amazed at the variety of ideas that Horse had, and said so.  White Horse got this very shy look on her face and dipped her head, and wandered off.

I came out of my meditation feeling like I had been greatly blessed.

Blessings to you,

Judy

Horse on Community

image

Sometimes, when I meditate, animals will come through what looks like a huge gate or arch way.  It seems that this is a way that the Universe opens the door for me to learn.

In this meditation, several horses came through the arch way to chat with me.

Some unusual things were happening with them.  The two horses spoke with one voice.  Their movements were almost identical.  The pictures that they shared with me were similar, and not exact.  I asked them why there was this discrepancy in their movement and pictures.  They laughed!  They said that they were each unique and had no reason to copy the other.  They said that they were community so shared thoughts and lessons, and what they knew, for the good of the herd.

I had a short conversation with them.  I learned much!

  • Although there is a leader determined by strength and ability to fight, Horse is basically not political.
  • Every horse in the herd has its place.  To lose a member of the herd is to disrupt the community and throw it out of balance.  Mostly – we as humans do not feel this loss.
  • The herd is healing to its members.  The community gives the individual strength to overcome.
  • The Oneness helps the herd to see what must be healed or mended.  Oneness strengthens, and does not divide.
  • All herd members but the premier stallion takes turns guarding the foals.  This is again to protect the herd and its growth.  This is a wonderful design in Nature to ensure that the young survive.  The adult horses do not attack and abuse the young.
  • The healthy members protect the weaker members and they especially the elderly horses.  The elderly horses carry the memories of the herd and share them freely.  They are the historians.
  • Horses believe in karma – that if they do not follow the “Horse” code, that they will return in the same circumstances until they do understand and follow the horse code.

Blessings,

Judy

A Pinto Horse Visits in Dream Time

image

Last night, a beautiful, pinto horse trotted into my dreams.  I was having some difficulty with something big attacking me.  I cannot remember exactly what was going on.  I do remember that the minute this big horse showed up, everything changed!

I ended up sitting on a rock, and Pinto was alternately grazing and talking to me.  The message was that we had an agreement of some sort.   The agreement was that he would pop in and set things right when they were looking bad for me because I had done the same thing for him at some future date.

The idea of “future date” really intrigued me.  He looked at me and said that it was difficult to explain the concept of the time of “no time” when my current structure was based on the concept of past, present, and future.  He tried to show me the idea of time based on possibilities and that one can go anywhere based on the possibility.

He said that he always knew where I was because of  our connection.

And then he winked out!

Many blessings,

Judy

Thoughts from a Young Colt - Spirit Animal

 image

Sometimes, in that space between being absolutely asleep and wide awake, we doze.  In that dozing time, we are open to new information.  Often, a Spirit Animal will wander in to share some thoughts, some guidance, or tell a story.  The story below comes in that fuzzy, sleepy state, from a young colt that I met.

I come into this world with absolute delight!  All is new! I have the memories of those who came before me to guide me, as I discover the place around me.  I am innocent of doing any harm to anyone.  I know I am part of the herd, and that the herd takes care of me.  When I am older, I too will be in the herd that cares for all the foals.  This is the way Nature intended for Horse to move upon the Earth.  Even though someday I will run fast, and run free, I know that the survival of the herd depends on how each of us does their part.  We move from pasture to pasture to conserve the grasses and shrubs that we like, to give them a chance to regenerate.  Horses, like other animals, care for the Earth because it is our home.  The Earth, in turn, cares for us, and provides for us for food, sleeping, playing, foaling, fighting, and flourishing.  I look up and see my dam peacefully eating and keeping an eye on me at the same time.  I know that I am cared for.  I feel that warmth of affection wrap around me from other members of the herd.  While I know they will discipline me if I step out of line, they will do me no harm.  And while I am young, they will make my life as easy and safe as they can.   I am content!

Many blessings,

Judy
