Merging

image

“Dearest Ones!  You have forgotten how you all fit together.  The Water that flows through each of you comes from the Earth and returns to the Earth and moves to the oceans where what you were touches the ocean creatures.  The oceans wash up on the shore and flow into the rivers and leave a little bit of themselves behind.  Oceans feed the subterranean waterways that flow under land to soothe the hot Earth.  The humans absorb little bits of the ocean when they eat or drink from products of the Earth.  It is a circle.  It keeps all of you.  Be kind to those in the circle.”

Set Sail For Something New

image

Friends are lovely and comforting, however, they seldom push you beyond the comfort zone that you live in.  If you do try to move beyond that zone, often, friends will be the first to tell you, in your best interest of course, that you will fail in this new venture.

Generally, we humans are not about being safe.  We humans are not about being fool hardy, but we do like our adventure.  THAT is why so many people are willing to try adventure vacations, extreme sports, and all the other very extraordinary things that are out there for us to do.

Moving beyond safe keeps us alive because, every day, we renew our interest in life.

Blessings to all!

No Comfort Zone

It has been important to get out of your comfort zone. It is just as important to take time to be still and let all tension go.

“Even a layman – if he finds a little time to be silent and to be meditative and discovers his self nature in his own home, in the marketplace, he will become the Buddha.”

Osho, Bodhidharma: The Greatest Zen Master, Talk #8

Blessings to all!

Why Travel?

The poster says:

If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet….. —-Rachel Wolchin

********************************

One of the most valuable teaching tools for adults and children is the action of travel.  When we travel, we learn new things about ourselves:

- our lack of patience or the amount of patience that we have.

-our prejudices against other countries, other people, other food, other customs.

-our need to expand our knowledge because not one city or country holds all the knowledge one needs to be the best person possible.

-our insecurities show up as do our interpersonal relationship issues with family, friends, and with new acquaintances.

-our limitations if we only have one language.

I am sure that you can think of other reasons to travel.  These are my top five for learning while traveling.  Share what you think in the comments below.

Judy

Angels On Grief

image

The message below comes from my angels.  And as with all messages from beyond, it seems very impersonal, especially when talking about grief.  What I am learning is that the grief that we feel is showing the depth of the love that we had for that being - human or animal.  Grief is a process.  When we are in grief, we do feel removed from others because grief is personal.

**********************************

It is clear that in this time of transition, when people are dying and leaving the planet for any number of reasons, that we will feel grief.  The Angels say that grief is the emotion of loss and that loss is an illusion of the physical body; of the degree of separation that one feels from others and from God/Creator/Universe.

Feel no grief at this time.  We are all one.

Many blessings,

Judy

The Power of Prayer

image

If you are following my blog, you will have read several different posts about prayer.  When I talk about prayer, I am not referring to one specific religion for prayer.  I refer to how you sit with asking and speaking to what you believe in.  Lots of people call meditation a prayer.  It doesn’t matter how you label it, it is about some form of communication between you and the Universe.

While scientists have been trying for years to prove the power of prayer in terms of healing people, no group has studied the power of prayer on the individual.

A quote that I quite like says that Prayer is you talking to God/Universe while meditation is God/Universe talking to you.

Prayer gives the individual the opportunity to speak all of the things that is on one’s mind to a Presence that is non-judgmental, and that is absolutely silent.  This Presence does not recommend different solutions, jump in and try to fix things, or even give you a list of “shoulds”.  This Presence simply fills the space around you and listens.

Try it.

Judy

Be Your Actions

image

The poster says:  An intelligent person does not need the robust of heaven to see the merit in good deeds.   -  Author Unknown.

********************************************************************

Preach the Gospel... If necessary use words.  Francis of Assisi

*******************************************************************

We have all heard of the ripple effect of the butterfly gently moving its wings somewhere in South America and the many other actions that exist because of the one butterfly.  We see the effect of the small ripples in the rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans and how the tiny ripples can become huge waves that crash over things and up against the coast line.

Recently, I am hearing more stories from people who have been touched by small actions of kindness or thoughtfulness, and how that action helped change the person’s life for the better.  If you have the opportunity to do a small, kind action, do it!  You start the ripple.

Happiness-Freedom

image

The poster says:  The amount of happiness that you have depends on the amount of freedom you have in your heart. —- Thich Nhat Hanh

**************************************************************

What does happiness feel like?  What does it mean?  Who has the most happiness?

The answer may be, “It depends on how much freedom you have!”

Over the years, I have posted quite a few blogs about happiness.  Here is a short list of some of the posts.

I Will Benefit Others

image

The poster says:

Every day, thank as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have precious human life, I am not going to waste it.  I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.  I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.  I am going to benefit others as much as I can.  —- Dalai Lama

What a beautiful mission statement to live by!  Would it not be wonderful if more people and more corporations could live in this manner?

Find Your Teacher

image

The poster says:  The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.  — Alexandra K. Trenfor

***********************************

Sometimes, the Universe plays tricks on us… or at least we perceive them as tricks.  We may decide that we will not take any more courses, and then a teacher comes along that we know we must work with.   Or, we may decide not to teach or mentor any longer, and a student shows up that we know we must work with, and coach.

I watch the process happen over and over.  It is a beautiful thing! It means that the Universe has a plan for putting the right student and teacher together.  It means that there is an advantage in moving forward as a team (student and teacher).  Synergies are created that let the student move beyond what they would have done by themselves.  And, the teacher has one more chance to leave a legacy.

About Moving

The poster says:  If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet…. —-Rachel Wolchin

*************************************************

Everything is always moving, even if it seems to be standing still.  Even dying is moving; it is just not a way of moving that we in the west are comfortable with.

Why is that?  We see movement all the time – on streets, in our kitchens, in the sky, on the internet.  We are born of moving parts because our cells are constantly replicating or dying.

Moving is taking us forward, to a place we have never been.  Sometimes road maps and Google search do not help us in the “getting there”.  Where we are now is a place that we have never been.  It may seem like we have been here before, but, and it is a BIG but, we are not the same person that we were yesterday, so, we have changed.  Therefore, HERE is different.

It is a mind blowing concept to think that my desk is different today then yesterday.  My body recognizes the truth in this.

Blessings,

Judy

Change The Energy

image

The poster says:   I am another you.  You are another me. — Unknown

******************************************

..everywhere I look I see myself.  There I go: that bald man, this angry child, that fearful cat, that cool stone, that bubbling brook, that worm struggling for its life, that bird desperate to feed her hungry babies, that one trapped in his rage, this one anxious but fearful of finding out why.  Hardly strangers!  Empathy is the life of the soul, I think, because the soul that allows us to see the one in the other is the soul that finds joy.  Claudia Michele

***

Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.  Saint Francis de Sales

***

We need silence to be alone with God, to speak to him, to listen to him, to ponder his words deep in our hearts.  We need to be alone with God in silence to be renewed and transformed.  Silence gives us a new outlook on life.  In it we are filled with the energy of God himself that makes us do all things with joy.  Mother Teresa

***

Using an inspirational passage...helps to slow down the furious, fragmented activity of the mind so that we can gain control over it...Whatever we drive deep into consciousness, that we become...I usually recommend the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi:

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.

Be Still And Center

image

The poster says:  Stillness is always available, 100% free of charge, and already wholly inside of you.

It is just a matter of opening to it.  ——— Unknown

********************************************

When you are with yourself, you can discover new aspects of self.  Stillness is an act of discovery.  Where does stillness sit with you in the most comfort – at home, at the beach, in the woods, in sanctuary?  Try all these places to find the stillness in you.

Being In Stillness

image

The poster says:  He sat in the stillness and listened to the wisdom of his soul.  It was there in the quiet he could feel his connection with the beauty of the universe.  He was home.  —- Unknown

******************************

In all the chaos that is today, and in the madness of commuting to work and rushing to hockey practice or soccer practice, take time for stillness.  It will renew you!

Blessings,

Judy

Healer, Hero, And Leader

The poster says:  True power is living the realization that you are your own healer, hero, and leader. -----Yung Pueblo
*************************

What a marvelous idea that we are everything that we need to be... healer, hero, and leader!  How is it possible?  Is there a course that I might have missed?

The answer is No - there is no course.  As we learn and grow, we acquire knowledge of self healing, and the growing in to values like protecting someone who is bullied and that makes us a hero, both to the person being bullied and to ourself.  If you are the oldest child in the family, then you have been leading since your first sibling was born.  You were learning the skills.  Single children learn leading early by playing sports or being involved in a group.

Being these three things does not mean that one is isolated.  Every person needs to ask for help.  Leaders, heroes, and healers.

Blessings,
Judy

Lammas August 1 2026

Lammas or Lughnasahd is the first day of August and a sign that summer has moved into harvest time.  Garden stuff is plentiful and most of the fruit, both tame and wild, is ready to harvest at the end of July.  August marks the time of jam making, pickle making, and harvesting seeds for next year.  Garden produce is eaten with the surplus canned or frozen.

Lammas is about gratitude to the Universe for the wonderful abundance.  Remember to share some of the jars of jam or fruit because in giving we open up for more abundance.

Blessings,

Judy
