Stag Speaks To Me

image

As I was walking through the start to the woods, my dog and I were startled by a very large white tailed stag (deer) jumping out of the brush and grass, and bounding past us.  My dog couldn’t even bark!  It seemed like the deer jumped out of a hole in the sky!

When he was safely past us, he stopped and looked at us.  His eyes were very large and dark, and to me, seemed so full of wisdom.

I heard him speak in my head.

“Child, I greet you.  You need not be afraid.  These things I must tell you.  You and others, must set boundaries of what is your territory.  You must be able to define and protect it.  It is a time for gathering up family.  Find those that you trust, and keep them close.  Those that stand alone will have the hardest time adjusting to all that is new.  Learn how to jump from thing to thing, while keeping the thoughts of what has been very alive.  And, look to what is ahead.  Jumping from one problem to another is not a solution.  All things are corrected where they began, not down the road.”

And then he bounded away.

Elementals Love Mossy Places

image

This picture is a quiet place in a small forest on the edge of a lake.  It is a magical place.  Even though the trees have been cut down long ago, the Elementals love this spot.  If you look in the upper left hand corner of the picture, you may see the shadows of what looks like two beings in the woods.

The Elementals say that much energy is transmitted in sites like these.  They suggest that you visit a woods or forest very soon and find a spot like this to sit and to gather energy.

Blessings,

Judy

Buffalo Talks of Circles

image

Buffalo speaks….

I come to you at this time because it is clear that the time for circles is here.  There are beginnings and endings, and in between.  The Buffalo has walked this Earth a long time.  Buffalo gave freely of itself to keep the two legged beings alive.  It is Buffalo who kept the two-leggeds in food and clothing, and kept them alive for many, many cycles of life.

Now the time is that the Buffalo are fading.  We are kept in tight spaces.  We do not roam as we did.  We have no access to sacred circles.  All over the plains and the woods that we roam are sacred circles that allow us to energize and be in touch with what the two-leggeds are about.  We no longer feel the circles like we did.  It seems the Buffalo has come to the end of its circle as a provider and now needs to be supported.  Such is the way of circles.

Many blessings,

Judy

A Lonely Crow - Spirit Animal

Picture of
"Crow In Flight" from Wikipedia

We are at the time of year when all of the crows should have flown south - from Alberta - for the winter.  So, I was surprised to see one lonely crow in the park woods on my walk the other morning.  I know it was a crow because of the distinctive "caw" noise.  Thinking about the scene, I then began to wonder if I had actually seen the crow or whether it was a Spirit Crow that was there as the woods were eerily quiet.

Crow makes a wide range of noises, and it is possible to learn their language in our rather primitive human way.  Sometimes the sounds are about danger, others about gossip and where the food is, or where there are other animals that may present some fun! The shiny blackness of Crow's feathers remind us that absolute blackness is the chaos that we - the cosmos - was born out of. And, Crow represents the magic that is present during the day. (Appropriate for me in the woods.)

What messages does Crow bring?  Messages that really need to be reflected upon.  Here are some of them.

a)   Crow likes to be very high up to observe and watch for danger.  If you see Crow, and she is cawing at you, perhaps you need to be warned of danger ahead.

b)  Crow likes to gather with other crows.  Some liken this to a Council.  Perhaps it is time to turn to your Council of Twelve for guidance.

c)  Various legends of the Gods and Goddesses tell of their use of Crows as spies because Crow has an inherent knowledge of truth.  If Crow appears, it may be that she is saying that you need to look beyond the apparent for the actual Truth.  Shaman say that you need to look for the story behind the story.

d) Crow therefore is also about integrity.  Is there something that is challenging your truth and integrity?  Do you need to be diligent or discerning in your association with others?

As I look at my Crow experience, I realize that my  message came from Great Spirit, and that Crow was there to remind me that there is much beyond what we know, and that I need to turn more to guidance from Great Spirit, Ancestors, and my Council of Twelve.   I will be spending more time in mediation!

Judy
