Nature’s Wonder

The picture above is taken during a huge hail storm that looks like snow, on June 20 2026. The hail lasted about twenty-five minutes and shredded leaves and knocked leaves and some branches off trees, and changed the temperature to cold.  What a day!

Now is a good time to remember that weather (whether) it is summer or fall or winter or spring, Nature is where we must go to balance and to regenerate.

We humans do not own the Earth; we are of the Earth.  The earth’s minerals and water flows through us.  We lose the Earth connection in the cities and even in rural areas – anywhere where life is “rushing” and where daily routines create stress and anxiety.

If you feel stress and anxiety, then now is the time to slow down.  Now is the time to step out into Nature to bring down the stress level.  All is well.

Judy

Being Happy Is A Style

The poster says:  Being happy never goes out of style. —-Keri Hilton
***************

I had to go to the shopping mall the other day.  As I walked towards the store I needed to attend, I looked around and saw that there did not seem to be very many happy looking people walking around.

Happy does not mean that you need a big grin on your face all the time.  Happy means looking peaceful, content, relaxed, and calm, and looking like you are enjoying the experience of what ever you are doing.

For example, people that are doing their favourite hobby usually look very happy and contented.  Guys who love working on cars will not necessarily be smiling but they may be humming or whistling even if they throw in the odd swear words because of a road block in their job.  Some ladies who knit were saying the other day that there is nothing like uninterrupted time for knitting… it makes them happy.

We each have a way to incorporate happy into our life, into our style.  How do you accomplish this each day?

Many blessings,
Judy

Your Best Life

The poster says:  Your best life comes when you commit to being your best self.  —-Cheryl Richardson

***********************

Someone asked me the other day if I thought that I was living my best life.  I thought about the question for a moment, and I answered, “Yes!  I am living my best life at this time.”

The person then asked what I meant by “this time”.  I replied that early on in my adult life, I made choices that made my life difficult, and therefore my life was not the best life for me at that time.  I had to complete some karma (and I will leave it at that).

The next question was - what makes this time so good to be considered your best?  That was an easy one.  Everything that I need and everything that I want to do are there for me to move forward.  I really want for nothing.  Not many people can say that.  I have wonderful sisters and a brother, and wonderful friends, and the best husband.  I could go on, but you get the idea.  I get to do what feels right.

The individual started pressing with more questions.  I said, “I am done with this.”

I walked away.  I get to make the choices and to do what is right for me.  I do not have to put up with someone else’s agenda. Neither do you.

Many blessings,

Judy

Your Daily Actions

image

The poster says:  It’s not what you do once in a while, it’s what you do day in and day out that makes the difference. —- Jenny Craig

*****************************************

It seems that all around the world, incidents of lying, deceit, and thievery at another’s expense, are hitting the news.

Seeing the wonderful things that people do to HELP one another instead of wanting to HURT one another makes this a wonderful world.

What will you do today to make the world more wonderful?

Summer Solstice June 21 2026

Stonehenge at Summer Solstice - picture from History.com

*************************

 The astronomical summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere occurs on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 4:24 A.M. EDT(08:24 UTC).

We who live in the Northern Hemisphere are so grateful for the longest day and the shortest night.  In 2026, it seems like summer and the warmth of the Sun will not arrive.  The mountains still have lots of snow on them.

The picture of Stonehenge is because years ago on the Summer Solstice, I was at Stonehenge. Our small group had permission to be inside the Henge at sunrise.  Yes it was an early, early morning.  Thinking about the experience still gives me goose bumps because the site was filled with energy and old souls and celebration.  It is an experience that I will never forget.

Since then, we have had summer solstice gatherings and we have celebrated on our own.  To be outside first thing in the morning on Solstice, regardless of the location, is an experience.

May your solstice this year be the start of all kinds of abundance for you for the next year.

Many blessings,

Judy

Being Immortal

image

The poster says:  Millions long for immortality who don’t know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.  —  Susan Erzurum

*****************

It is hard to believe that we are immortal souls when we have so much going on in this mortal life.  Yet, if you can find that space of “no time” in your daily thoughts or in your meditation, you can see the very beginning and end of time, and all things between, for just a few moments.  And, in that time, you know there is no time and you are immortal!  You find memories and future visions in that glimpse.  You are eternal.

Wolves In Dream Time

   Bow Valley Wolf Pack - Picture from Canadian Running Magazine

The wolves have been very active in dream time – they prowl through the different sites of dreams.  Wolf wants you to remember that a pack is safer then being alone for traveling in strange territory. However, Wolf likes to go out and be solitary when it is suitable, and will travel many miles by itself.  Alone, Wolf is very cautious and will observe before going into the open.

Perhaps you need to listen to Wolf’s advice about something that you are going to do now.

On Staying In Balance

I have been getting phone calls and messages from people who say that they are out of balance.   The article below is one of the best that I have seen about being in balance.

The Art of Staying in Balance

--by Osho   (Aug 18, 2008)

 clip_image001

The most difficult thing, the almost impossible thing for the mind, is to remain in the middle, to remain balanced. And to move from one thing to its opposite is the easiest. To move from one polarity to another is the nature of the mind. [...]

It is difficult for the mind to come to the right diet, difficult for the mind to stay in the middle. It is just like a clock's pendulum. The pendulum goes to the right, then it moves to the left, then again to the right, and again to the left; the clock's working depends on this movement.

If the pendulum stays in the middle, the clock stops. And when the pendulum moves to the right, you think it is only going to the right, but at the same time it is gathering momentum to go to the left. The more it moves to the right, the more energy it gathers to move to the left, and vice versa.

Thinking means momentum. The mind starts arranging for the opposite. When you love a person you are gathering momentum to hate him. That's why only friends can become enemies. You cannot suddenly become an enemy unless you have first become a friend. [...]

Logic is superficial, life goes deeper, and in life all opposites are joined together, they exist together. Remember this, because then meditation becomes balancing.

Buddha taught eight disciplines, and with each discipline he used the word right. He said: Right effort, because it is very easy to move from action to inaction, from waking to sleep, but to remain in the middle is difficult.

When you are standing in the middle you are not gathering any momentum. And this is the beauty of it -- a man who is not gathering any momentum to move anywhere, can be at ease with himself, can be at home.

Elephant Singing

Animals bring joy and happiness with them.  They live in the now moment and yet, like humans, can have long memories of grievances and of great kindnesses.

I dreamt of a young Elephant, who was standing out in a field, singing.  He was singing of the joys of the tribe (family).  He was singing about eating tasty grasses and leaves.  He sang too, about the young animals he would get to play with from time to time.  He sang about his mother, and how she cared for him.

He made me think that we humans should be so lucky.

Who Are Your Friends?

The poster says:   “I talk about you like you put the stars in the sky!”

********************************************

This means that you think so highly of someone that you cannot talk about them enough, almost to the point of a state of worship.  This can be good or bad.  However, I heard this phrase in the context of great love between a man and a woman, and the realization that they had.  They were so wrapped up in each other, they were losing their friends.  Friends are the food that keep you going.  So, it is good to love.  It is good to have friends.

Judy

Prayer

 image

The Angels tell us that the easiest way to speak with Creator is to simply talk to Creator in prayer.  A prayer is simply when we talk to Mother/Father God, or to the Supreme Being  that is in your belief system.

I think simple prayers work the best because they come from the heart.

I love this prayer because it covers so much.

Give Us Hearts to Understand

Give us hearts to understand;
Never to take from creation's beauty more than we give;
never to destroy wantonly for the furtherance of greed;
Never to deny to give our hands for the building of earth's beauty;
never to take from her what we cannot use.

Give us hearts to understand
That to destroy earth's music is to create confusion;
that to wreck her appearance is to blind us to beauty;
That to callously pollute her fragrance is to make a house of stench;
that as we care for her she will care for us.

We have forgotten who we are.
We have sought only our own security.
We have exploited simply for our own ends.
We have distorted our knowledge.
We have abused our power.

Great Spirit, whose dry lands thirst,
Help us to find the way to refresh your lands.

Great Spirit, whose waters are choked with debris and pollution,
help us to find the way to cleanse your waters.

Great Spirit, whose beautiful earth grows ugly with misuse,
help us to find the way to restore beauty to your handiwork.

Great Spirit, whose creatures are being destroyed,
help us to find a way to replenish them.

Great Spirit, whose gifts to us are being lost in selfishness and corruption,
help us to find the way to restore our humanity.

Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind,
whose breath gives life to the world, hear me;
I need your strength and wisdom.

May I walk in Beauty.

4ccd3bfdf08b41 55 Inspiring Quotations That Will Change The Way You Think

The poster says:  The future belongs to the few of us still willing to get our hands dirty.

**********************

How many people do you know get their hands dirty on a regular basis?  If you come from a farming background, chances are you know people who did get dirty, working with their hands, digging, tilling, and fixing machinery, or working with animals.

Statistics tell us that less and less people are producing any thing for themselves; they rely on others to produce the food, the goods, and the technology.   One of the most calming things, to my mind, is digging in the dirt to create a garden, or working with animals, or fixing a piece of equipment.

Yes, it is hard to fix things when the hard goods are all disposable, and some cities even prohibit the cultivating of gardens.  However, you may find a place where you can work with your hands, and get them dirty.  Your soul will thank you!

No One Is Alone

I was listening to two women talking at a cafĂ© while I was waiting for my sister to join me.  Their conversation was interesting because they talked about their children and how busy their kids or grandkids were.  Both women said that having their children close to them and yet so busy, made them feel alone or lonely.

I rolled that around in my mind.  Does lonely mean that they have no one to talk to?  Does lonely mean they feel excluded from the activities?  Does lonely mean that the children have nothing to do with their mother?  I wasn’t sure.

What I am sure about is that Angels are always present so one is never alone.

Find Your Strength

image

The poster says:  Strength does not come from physical capacity.  It comes from an indomitable will. — Gandhi

*******************************************

Strength moves us from a place of helplessness to being powerful.  Even the smallest child can have incredible strength if they have incredible will!

Our will – our truth deep within our Spirit – manifests so many ways, and yet we do not see how we are being strong.  We see others that are strong, and we remark on how powerful or willful, they are.

Some examples are the will of people who are ill, to live.   Or, the will of someone to go to university and the most adverse situation.  Or, the will of someone who has different learning disabilities to learn to read and write, and then to write best selling books.   Gandhi is a wonderful example of the will of one man to make change.

I think about our Ancestors and how they had the will to move from Europe or Asia to North America in the seventeen and eighteen hundreds, and then hook up with a wagon train to travel west.  What courage and will!

Is there something that you need to find the will to do?

Judy

June 1 - On Happiness

                                            Picture of happy flowers - J Hirst

Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product.  Eleanor Roosevelt

****************

As June rolls in, I think happy thoughts of summer and barbque and drinks on the deck and enjoying the sun and the growing garden and the flowers.  Yes, lots of little things make me happy.

Today, think of all the things that make you happy and work one happy thing into each of the days ahead.  It is worth the effort.

Blessings,

Judy
