Two Kinds of Rocks

IMG_0573

This picture along the Kootenay River reminds me of the stories about rocks.  There are two kinds of rocks that grow in the Earth.  One rock represents goodness, kindness, steadfastness, and strength.  These rock are guardians or sentinels.  A good example is the ring of rocks at Stonehenge.  Another example are the mountains of the Rocky Mountains.

Then there are the rocks that are grown from anger.  These rocks are pushed up through the Earth because people have expressed a heart felt wish of extreme anger.  The rocks lose their ability to hold strength and push up as broken and feel “off”.  These rocks can mark a place of Sorrows.

This day, be mindful of what your heart holds and what you create in the world.

Judy

********************************

I sometimes get behind in reading my email.  I get daily updates from the site - Daily Motivation - and I love the positive words that the site shares with us.

The affirmations above were sent out on February 1, 2025 but I did not read them until today.  My bad.  I am sharing them with you so that you can pick the affirmations that speak to you and so that you can add them to your life, if you want.

Each day, I look to find an affirmation that speaks to me and that helps me make sense of something going on in my life in a positive way.

Enjoy the journey!

Blessings,

Judy

Pray For ?

The poster says,” Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”
-Bruce Lee

This past year, many of my friends and family have had huge challenges to face.  Sometimes it was financial, sometimes health, and sometimes unbelievable storms that wrecked things.

The poster talks about praying for strength.  I think that this year - 2025 - we all will need extraordinary strength to deal with all of the events that will transpire.  Some may not touch us directly, however, everything touches us indirectly.

Today, I wish you strength and peace and hope.

Buffalo Kin

image

Buffalo is unique in its shape – a massive hump over its shoulders, and a very thick skull and mane that protects the head from attack.  The hind end is not so protected.  Therefore, as a defense stance, Buffalo will gather in a circle, with their heads out and their hindquarters in.  This allows them to protect themselves and each other.

If you doubted that we, humans, are related to buffalo, then look at the idea of Buffalo gathering in a circle.  So have humans gathered over time.  Our Ancestors held the circle sacred, as does Buffalo.  In fact, Buffalo will put the young in the center of the circle to protect them as well.

Buffalo kin show us that we need to protect our young, while at the same time training them to survive on their own.  We do not know how to do this anymore, it seems.  Buffalo comes forward now to remind us that the strength of our children is dependent on the strength that we have to teach them what is needed.  We have to do better at teaching than we have in the past.

Many blessings,

Judy

Horse on Community

image

Sometimes, when I meditate, animals will come through what looks like a huge gate or arch way.  It seems that this is a way that the Universe opens the door for me to learn.

In this meditation, several horses came through the arch way to chat with me.

Some unusual things were happening with them.  The two horses spoke with one voice.  Their movements were almost identical.  The pictures that they shared with me were similar, and not exact.  I asked them why there was this discrepancy in their movement and pictures.  They laughed!  They said that they were each unique and had no reason to copy the other.  They said that they were community so shared thoughts and lessons, and what they knew, for the good of the herd.

I had a short conversation with them.  I learned much!

  • Although there is a leader determined by strength and ability to fight, Horse is basically not political.
  • Every horse in the herd has its place.  To lose a member of the herd is to disrupt the community and throw it out of balance.  Mostly – we as humans do not feel this loss.
  • The herd is healing to its members.  The community gives the individual strength to overcome.
  • The Oneness helps the herd to see what must be healed or mended.  Oneness strengthens, and does not divide.
  • All herd members but the premier stallion takes turns guarding the foals.  This is again to protect the herd and its growth.  This is a wonderful design in Nature to ensure that the young survive.  The adult horses do not attack and abuse the young.
  • The healthy members protect the weaker members and they especially the elderly horses.  The elderly horses carry the memories of the herd and share them freely.  They are the historians.
  • Horses believe in karma – that if they do not follow the “Horse” code, that they will return in the same circumstances until they do understand and follow the horse code.

Blessings,

Judy
