Welcome! Come here to explore different tools that you can use to shift your emotions, shift trauma, alleviate pain, and handle the challenges that pop up regularly.
March is a time of big change for us because we go into Spring after a challenging winter.. As Mother Earth changes, it is a time for us to look at change. Maybe, this is the time for you to practice some self healing.
The world is shifting at an ever changing pace. The fears that are surfacing and then come to pass, are fears:
about loosing one's identity,
about poverty including lack of food and/or money,
about people having power over you
about lack of control
about loosing what one has
about pain and illness
about doing the wrong thing
about dying
Many of these fears may be overcome by spending some time learning how to do some quick, self healing.
Note that the self healing that will be discussed over the next month does not replace medical doctor's advice, and these blogs should not be taken as medical advice.
What these blogs are intended to do is to provide some coping mechanisms for the turmoil and pains that one might feel in their daily life.
Over the last several days, the picture of a Donkey has popped into my mind, or the word “donkey” has come up in conversation or on the radio. Because this seems unusual, I gathered that Donkey had a message for me. In my meditation, Donkey did come in and had some thoughts to share.
This is a time to keep your ears open to listen for unusual sounds around you. Often, one can hear things or hear about things before the “thing” happens. Your ability to hear will help you move through 2025 with grace.
Work on your endurance. Donkeys are noted for their endurance in harsher conditions. For you, the conditions will be changing constantly, and you will need to have some survival skills in place by the last half of the year. Thus, you need to get fit.
If you can’t swim, now is a good time to learn this skill. Swimming is good exercise and allows you to get use to a different environment. Sinking or swimming – it is all about choices.
Keep your feet groomed. This should be self explanatory.
Eyes wide open is the motto for a donkey walking through strange territory. This is a good time to start practising the skill of observation. What looks out of place? Why is it there? What is the bigger picture? Start now, and practise.
Sleep when you can. Short naps will help your endurance, and will give you extra physical strength. Most beings do not get enough sleep.
Donkeys are vegetarian. It is the way our digestive system is set up. Do not artificially change your diet. Eat what is good for you and for your digestive system. Most humans do not tolerate a wide variety of raw. That is why you invented fire.
Take time to commune with Creator. It will help you remember that we are all connected.
Then, after sharing these thoughts, Donkey brayed goodbye and walked off into the desert.
Sometime this week, you will be given a chance to do something different, something you would not ordinarily do. It might be the rekindling of a great love, or the opportunity to work in a different career and still use the skills that you have accumulated over the years. Or, it might be the chance to move to a different city, province, or country. The Gopher’s guidance is…”Go for it!” Nothing happens unless you make a choice to change your life. Gopher knows that no matter how far you “dig” to try and change your life, much of life happens by being in the right place at the right time. Some call this coincidence. In Science, a coincidence is when two rays of light strike a surface at the same place at the same point of time. Sounds like the Universe sending light, doesn’t it? Moreover, Science refers to this event as non-casual. In other words, there are not any events that lead up to it.
So, if you see a Gopher, or several Gophers, or, if you see a lightening strike, know that the Universe is giving you some warning that something unusual is about to happen. It is up to you to choose to accept the gift, or not.
One of my friends sent me information on positive change. She thought that I might share it with people who look at my blog. I went further and found that the information comes from Selacia. Her advice is great. The links to her site are at the bottom of the article. Enjoy!
Accelerate Your Transformation
- Tips to Jump Start Positive Change - by Selacia
Tips to Jump Start Positive Change
1. Challenging Circumstances- When faced with a challenge, keep your focus in present time. Even if what you are experiencing began long ago, you want to respond with today's energy. As part of your lifelong process of transformation, your energy shifts from day to day. Insights and processing from last night's dreaming can provide you with fresh perspectives and more lightness of being. When looking at your challenge, invite your higher wisdom to guide you in applying a higher awareness and fully utilizing your current knowing. You may be pleasantly surprised with the positive results.
2. A Time for Everything- Life is often so fast paced that it's common to feel behind schedule. Relax your body and mind for moments here and there as you intuitively check in about timings. Indeed, there's a time for everything. Remember this before jumping into your next activity. Oftentimes what you planned, no matter how important it seems, is best left until after you have done something else - which can be an activity or simply being still. Your heart and intuitively guided reason can show you the way. Check in with yourself to determine if what you planned for the day needs to shift, and then make adjustments. You will be happy you did.
3. Manifesting Your Vision- As you pick the less traveled road for the next portion of your unique journey, inquire within to be sure that it's wide enough and extends far enough to accommodate your goals and expansive vision. As a divine changemaker, you are learning to express your highest potentials. Do not limit yourself to what your doubts tell you to settle for, or for what others have told you is possible. Embrace the expanded view spirit has for your life.
4. Roadblocks- Consider that the roadblock you face is a symbol that you may need to update your view. Sometimes a detour or alternative approach is required. This may involve a different timing, implementing something you haven't yet thought of, or even abandoning your idea altogether. A divine changemaker learns to see roadblocks as opportunities for spiritual practice - they aren't the enemy; they may be a blessing in disguise.
5. Positive Potentials - Each day carries within it a positive potential and energies you can apply for your own enlightenment. Connect with more of the positive potentials available by regularly acknowledging that they exist. This is easier on some days than others, of course. Even so, get into the habit of remembering this lighter side of being. A new opportunity waits each time you open your eyes in a new way - without expectations and without focusing on what you created before. When you are open to the next wonderful surprise arriving on your doorstep - letting go of how and when it shows up - you become like a magnet for your own good.
The information below is a message from the Angels that I received in a meditation. I think that many of us can relate to feeling an extraordinary tiredness at times. When the tiredness hits me, I think that it is because of illness. However, this seems to be a movement around the Earth.
Beloveds, we greet you! We tell you that the great fatigue that you are all feeling is a result of the many changes that are happening in your body, in your etherics, and on the planet. Yes, everything is going through modifications so that the Earth and each of you will be in harmony with the newness that is happening in the next several months.
Even humans that are not in the spiritual path are feeling that a big change is coming. Interesting to us is that you all see the change as coming, as in the future. Really, the change is happening and on going. Perhaps you see it as the future because humans have trouble being in the now moment. The Ancestors that existed on the planet even a thousand years ago had more time to be in the now moment. Everything happened less on schedule and more on flow.
The big change that is taking place is that the magnetic alignment of the Earth and of the Universe, for that matter, is changing. This means that the magnetic alignment of the human body is also changing. The tug of war going on in your body is what is making you tired. You may find that you feel ill, that you are putting on weight unexplainably, or that you are losing weight without reason, or that your vision changes and becomes blurred or quite clear. All of these symptoms plus many others are contributing to the fatigue.
The solution is to go with the flow of fatigue and rest! Rest will help you move through this more quickly than anything else.
This picture looks like the parks around our area. October comes in, and the leaves change colour. The changes are reflected in life around us. I have so many friends that are changing – locations, houses, spouses, jobs, and even careers. This year is the year of shedding the things that do not work in our lives.
I see the changes that are happening too, in the world. I see people working to unlock the secrets that are supposed to protect us, the people, because we will panic. When information is kept from us, it means that someone else’s ego is working overtime, saying that they as a person or as a group of people are better than the rest of us. I am grateful to the folks who think it is time to end secrets and end corruption. Change is good. It is hard and takes effort, but it is good.
Here is a lovely poem by Robert Frost that talks about the changes in Nature. Enjoy.
October
by Robert Frost
O hushed October morning mild, Thy leaves have ripened to the fall; Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild, Should waste them all. The crows above the forest call; Tomorrow they may form and go. O hushed October morning mild, Begin the hours of this day slow. Make the day seem to us less brief. Hearts not averse to being beguiled, Beguile us in the way you know. Release one leaf at break of day; At noon release another leaf; One from our trees, one far away. Retard the sun with gentle mist; Enchant the land with amethyst. Slow, slow! For the grapes' sake, if the were all, Whose leaves already are burnt with frost, Whose clustered fruit must else be lost-- For the grapes' sake along the all.
The Angels crowded around the meditation room, and the peace and love and harmony massaged the soul. The Archangels guarded the space to keep all that was in the room safe and sacred.
Different Angels talked about the coming changes to everything – where fear would be erased, and the blueprint for fight or flight would cease to exist. They talked of flying and of lights and of energy. They talked about the rippling of time between locations and planets. Most of it was over my head in terms of science. However, the feeling of freedom and joy captured my heart, and a yearning was born. Or, perhaps it is better to say that it was awakened. I think I may have always had this yearning.
Then the Angels talked about how many of us will be making huge career changes to get us in place to doing what we love, and to be in different places to be carriers of light – love, compassion, and generosity. They spoke of amazing opportunities opening up, like doors to far away places. The Sid the changes will be healing for all involved.
I was excited by this prophecy. The time frame feels like several months. The idea of doors opening is beautiful, and comforting. And, even, as my nephew would say, “Sweet!”
I was very young and living on the prairies when I first learned about whales and dolphins. I have been a fan of whales and dolphins ever since that time.
Often, in dream time, whales and/or dolphins will appear in the dream to bring messages, or to ask for help, and sometimes, just to play.
It was in dream time that I met the pilot whale.
****************************
Pilot whales are jet black or a very dark grey color. The dorsal fin is set forward on the back and sweeps back. The newborn whale's dorsal fin is flexible at birth so as to facilitate the birthing process. The body is elongated but stocky and narrows abruptly toward the tail fin. ~ Wikipedia
Pilot Whale has set a course for change and invites you to pick up and follow. The journey involves moving, transforming, and completing. Moving may mean moving to a different location, or new house, or even to a different career or belief system. Transforming means changing something about yourself, on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual basis. Completing is encouragement to finish those projects that are incomplete. This is true especially for creative projects.
Pilot Whale also shows the direction for starting something new. If things have not been feeling like they are working, then Pilot Whale says that you should change direction. If the current is holding you back, perhaps you are not to go that way. Animals always take the path of least resistance, and so too should humans because one will reach the destination anyway, even if it seems like it is not a direct path.
At times, Pilot Whale simply stops moving and lies on its side, in contemplation and meditation. She suggests that you meditate on the Ocean, on Oneness, on Love, and on the mystical way that Great Spirit works with all beings.
This is a time to let go of fear and feel the joy that permeates the world. The JOY energy is driving the darker energies ahead of it, and therefore, you who are sensitive to these energies, feel the dark and resist. The dark energies then have a place to anchor and hide from JOY.
Be OPEN to all that is around you. Feel the goodness that is ever apparent everyday. Feel the pull of doing what is right.
Let your reservations about life be released. Hanging on is not going to help the process of change. Let go! Feel the oceans of oneness and joy that will move through your home, career, and leisure. Feel a moment of Zen, where nothing matters. Your Soul will guide you!
I have been noticing a lot of different news stories about foxes - in Toronto, London, Japan, and really, all over the northern hemisphere.
The question becomes “Why is Fox so in our faces all of a sudden?”
Good question! Different sages have written about Fox. They write that Fox is about mystery – because of its colouring, and that is true. They write, too, that Fox is about being aware of family because Fox is a good parent, and a good pack member. That is true. Others have written that Fox is about being aware of one’s surroundings and the interconnectedness of all things. I see this as true because of the way Fox adapts to city environments.
I think that Fox is the same as she/he ever was. The difference, I believe is that we are more aware of Fox because we are more attuned to life around us. Before this attuning, we were simply unaware of much of the natural life around us.
I also see Fox as a symbol for us in these changing times. The symbol stands for adaptation, finding new food supplies (Fox has only survived because it has strong adaption skills that let it move through different environments, and it always goes where the food is), and for living outside the boundaries of what people think and expect. Fox has long escaped man and his hunting dogs by doing the unexpected.
Fox is showing that it is there to support humans as they go through the changes of this next year. Call on Fox to guide you. It will show you how to “out-fox” the situation!
The message that keeps coming to me, over and over, is that this is a time of “getting it together”. This is a time to orient one’s self to what is coming, and to be at peace with all changes. This is a time to be happy in one’s space, and to be able to retreat and to care of self.
I hear chanting at night – coming from a far away place. It sounds like monks chanting very old sounds. I find the rhythm of the sounds very comforting, and, they usually lull me to sleep.
The space that I am in tells me to slow down and not to be too demanding of myself. It seems that message is true for others, too. When I analyze this with the sound of the chanting, it seems that what I hear is a chant for peace. The underlying intent is for peace for each individual, peace for humanity, and peace for the planet.
Cougar is out in the foothills, east of the mountains, these days because it feels a change coming to the areas west of the mountain ranges. It comes out to talk to people, and instead, scares them, because people know that Cougar is a ruthless predator. Cougar wanders the countryside, hoping for someone who will listen. She hears the rumblings in the Earth. It sounds like the rocks grinding together in an avalanche. She notices that the ground animals seem to be more above ground, then below. A time of change is coming, she says. This change simply means that one needs to move to a new hunting territory. And so she moves.
Moose has been walking through my dreams recently. He did not stop to speak, simply walked through the area, stopped and looked at me, and moved on. I wondered why he seemed so distant.
Because I could not get a good sense of the meaning of the dream, I thumbed through my dream book. Moose, it seems, often represents the whirlwind and the dynamic evolution of the Universe. Moose may also show change and evolution as indicated by the unpredictable and totally spontaneous way that a Moose will act.
Moose, then, is showing me, by showing up in my dreams, that there is a big change or evolution going on in all that I know, and that in my dreams, I will be able to walk farther, and touch more distant places in the stars.
When an animal speaks to me continuously through dreams, waves at me from pictures in a magazine, or even comes up in regular conversation, I know that I need to pay attention to what message is coming through.
Sometimes, however, getting a message is like picking up a lot of static on your favourite radio station. And, I was getting lots of static. I could see Grizzly, and could not hear her. I was getting frustrated!
Then, I was walking out in the provincial park. Even though it is only the end of January, I began to think about bears. As soon as I had this thought, the next thought flowed – Grizzly Bears are having their cubs about this time. Where did that thought come from? I was startled!
Mother Grizzly with her cub – picture from Wikipedia from Wikimedia Commons
To get in touch with the feeling around the thought, I began to do a deep meditative breathing. My dog looked at me, wondering what was amiss. And gradually, a message came. Grizzly Bear said:
This is the time of hibernation. During this time, many changes take place in bears. The female give birth to their young, usually from two to four cubs. It is a time of introspection. For bears, the long sleep lets us walk with The Mother Of Us All without the constraints of the physical. We learn from her, and apply the lessons when we wake up. Bears have been shy. We are now moving back to that place where we see humans as equals, and we will walk in the same places that they do.
There are many humans who are undergoing the same change that we are experiencing. However, these humans do not sleep the required time to germinate something new. They do not empty out their systems to give the body rest. I say this to you – this is a time of giving birth to new ideas, projects, and new ways of living. Listen to that inner voice. Sleep when you need to, and disregard the chatter of the masses.
Bears are solitary by choice so that we can move as we need to. We also can think, play, eat, and sleep when we need to. We are not governed by what others want to do or by any control. Will you let your self be so free as to walk away from those things in life that control you?
This picture is from a series of wild life pictures someone sent me in an email. Origin not known.
A while ago, one of my clients phoned me because they had an unusual experience driving into work in the morning, down Memorial Drive. He said that a big white owl flew across his windshield twice. He was awestruck. However, when he excitedly looked around at other drivers, no one else appeared to see it. He wanted to know what the message was. The following message came to me in a meditation. I shared it with him, and with his permission, with you.
White Owl’s Message
“This is the time to practice wisdom. One of the greatest gifts of wisdom is patience. The large Earth changes are upon us, and, because they happen slowly, humans do not see the degree of change that is happening. We animals notice that the Sun and the Moon do not seem to always be in the place that it has been in seasons gone by. We notice that there is more water in some places and much dryness in others. It changes our food supply and we too must change – move to new hunting grounds and find new prey. We notice that some of our kind do not seem to be as plentiful. We that survive will need to continue the species. We see changes in our abilities with each new change. We are not ones to die off; we are survivors.
We find it easy to move. We have no home or possessions to carry with us. We simply set our destination, and fly to that place. We do have favourite places that we like to be, although it does not matter much to us where we sleep. Humans are weighted down by so many things. Perhaps that is why humans cannot fly. Even your clothes seem heavy.
I, Owl, say to you that now is a good time to look at lightening your load and finding ways to make your journey easier. “
White Tiger has been watching me struggle with all that I “think” that I must do and how the weight is starting to wear me down. She came in to speak with me today.
“I watch you humans move through life and I marvel at your ability to involve yourselves in your cubs and in others lives. What a waste of your abilities! What do I mean? When our cubs are grown, we let them go. We teach them what they need to know for survival. And, we trust that they will survive. We do not go after them all the time to see that they are surviving. If we meet, we touch noses, and move on.
Those of you that do not have children seem to take on the care of other people’s cubs. And, you seem to take on the responsibility for all you come in contact with. Know that each person has their own path, and that you do no good by taking over their responsibilities. It is not in Nature to do this action. It is Nature’s way to let everything be. Humans interfere all the time.
My kind almost disappeared. We were ready to leave, to do the next thing in our natural progression of being. Humans have intervened to keep our kind alive. We are chained to the Earth by what humans have done. The pride that humans seem to have about knowing what is best all the time is one that needs to change.”
Fox is now seen in towns and cities. She has decided that since man is moving into her territory, she will use man’s space as a hunting ground. She now births her pups in the wooded parks, and keeps them safe during their growing time.
Fox says:
Fox knows how to adapt quickly to new environments. Humans, it seems, want to keep everything the same. I say to you that change is now here and it will be rapid. Look at the changing Nature around you. Figure out how to adapt and enjoy the change. Fighting against it will cause you to be ill.
Going into another’s area or territory will give you a new perspective on life. Simply sitting in your chair, in your territory, and criticizing what others do is not useful. Go! Explore! And perhaps you will learn compassion along the way.
My pups are most precious and I will do anything to keep them safe. I teach them to read the land, and to listen to the animals. I teach them to know what is good food and bad food. I teach them to dig and to build a den. I watch and listen to how your pups are treated. You stick them in territories with fences around them and unnatural play things. They do not know how to be in the woods or the grasslands. They do not know how to fend for themselves and to be aware. Are your children not precious to you?
A second 10-foot wide sinkhole appeared about a foot away from a 25-foot-wide sinkhole that appeared in January at Cape Kiwanda. May 8, 2023, Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, Oregon.
Courtesy of Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area
Last week, a 10-foot-wide sinkhole appeared at Cape Kiwanda on Oregon’s north coast. This is the second sinkhole to appear at the cape this year, just inches away from the one that emerged in January.
A sinkhole is a depression in the ground that has no external drainage. So, when it rains the water stays inside, ponds up and then drains down into the subsurface.
I was wondering why there have been so many sink holes appearing all around the world in 2023.
The guidance that came to me is that humans have been pressuring the Earth for the last thirty-five years, and covering huge parts of her with cement in the form of roads, parking lots, big buildings, runways, and developments. These “coverings” have choked off the Earth’s natural ability to breathe. Even though, in some cases, Man has created huge craters in the form of open pit mines, the holes are not natural and do not allow the Earth to breathe properly.
As with any creature, the Earth is finally struggling not to choke and die. She therefore opens up huge breathing holes, similar to the whales opening their blow holes, where ever it feels natural and right. Earth pays no attention to what is on the surface.
If we saw another human cruelly choking an animal, we would cry out in outrage, and work to stop the human who was doing the choking. It is now helpful to have that same view around the sink holes that are appearing. Yes, it is too bad that people are loosing houses and garages. Maybe they are required to move elsewhere.
If you are having difficulty picturing the difficulty that Mother Earth is having with her breathing, take a few minutes to do this meditation.
Meditation on Earth Breathing
1. Put on some very tight clothes.
2. Sit as comfortably as you can in meditation position – perhaps full lotus.
3. As you start the meditation, breath in deeply for a count of seven, hold for seven, and release for seven.
4. Do this for a minute.
5. Notice how difficult it is to take a deep breath? Even after you have done several of them, the going seems to get tougher, and not easier.
6. Try it again to see if it easier the second time.
7. Now, go and change clothes and get into some very comfortable, loose clothing.
8. Try the same exercise again.
9. Do you see the difference? Do you feel the difference? Do you feel like stretching after you get into the looser clothing?
10. It is the same for Mother Earth.
11. Now, do the breathing, taking in very deep breaths, and imagine that you are harmonizing your breath to the Mother’s.
12. Feel your anxiousness subside. Feel the Earth become calmer. Feel the Oneness, and the peace.
13. Do this breathing exercise for ten minutes.
14. When you are finished, bow to Mother Earth nine times to honour her journey, and thank her for providing the greater home that you live on.
I kept hearing, “Look out the window.” At first it was a plea and then it became demanding. I finally went to the kitchen window and looked out. I saw the most beautiful pair of mourning doves sitting on the branch of one of our spruce trees.
They both oo’oo’d, and said that they had something to share with me about change. Here is what they said:
Whatever the pattern has been, such as Doves flying south for the winter, there comes a time to break the pattern.
Patterns are often genetic in origin, and, in our case, are part of our innate design. You can see that we have broken this pattern this year, and this will begin the change for our offspring.
Patterns were designed to meet a certain environment. When the environment changes, then it is time to change the pattern.
While others do not feel the need to change, there are always those pioneers that need to follow the new sound or drum beat. It is often the role of the pioneers to be ridiculed or called crazy. They are not crazy.
Being at one with change, and breaking patterns is what is required to help one’s survival. Live well.
