Lady Bug

As the days get warmer, once again, we notice Lady Bugs coming out of no where, to bless our house.  They move to the windows where I pick them up and drop them on my plants.   They keep the leaves clean and shiny for me.  What I am coming to understand is that the Lady Bug is about being grounded and protection.  Her message always seems to be about:

  • having no fear in starting over
  • trusting that what ever quest you are on will receive assistance
  • knowing that you will always end up with abundance

I hope this message speaks to you.

Judy

Fox In The Forest

The following information comes from one of my journals from 2016.  It describes an experience that I had when I was out with my dogs.

******************

I drove up into the Kananaskis area, just south of Canmore.  There was a lot more snow than what we had around home.  From the corner of my vision, I saw a dark shape.  I pulled over and stopped the vehicle.

Fox was coming out of the trees.  She moved with purpose.  I saw the beauty of her coat.  She stopped and turned to me.  I thought she might smell the dogs.  I swear that she grinned.  She barked three, sharp barks.  And then she moved on.

The barks represented:

  • trust your senses
  • stick to your purpose or goal
  • rely on your own cleverness – no one else has your experience in your life

Responsibility For Our Self

image

The poster says:

Anytime we perceive that someone else has weakened us, has downed us, has hurt us, has come “against” us, we really have to evaluate that honestly.  Did they really, or did we decide they did, then hurt ourselves with that series of thoughts? - by Lee Travathan

*************

My recent Full Moon meditation focused on Self-Care.  This includes care for the Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual parts of our BEING.  In the meditation, I saw how language can affect or, in some cases, effect what we do to help ourselves.  We have all been raised in a society that uses guilt to manipulate our actions.  Now is a great time to release this weight.

Eagle Picks Up On Energies

Two bald eagles spend the winter in Fish Creek Park where the Bow River winds south and then west.  Here, the water stays open and they can fish.

For the last two weeks, Eagle has been out flying when I am out with my dog.  I get various messages.

  • Walking in the snow is like flying in the snow – your thoughts are dusted off with purity from being in Nature.
  • This is the time to shake off all commitments around work, politics, and religion.  They serve you not.
  • Winter is a time to walk on water, climb mountains, and ride down them.  It is the free-est you can be.

Blessings,

Judy

It is About Balance

image

The poster reads:

For everything you have missed, you have gained something else; And for everything you gain, you lose something else.  It is about your outlook towards life.  You can either regret or rejoice.

************

Everything that we do is about balance.  You choose the pace of the balance in your life. No one else can choose the balance for you. Choose wisely!

Blessings,

Judy

Elephants Never Forget

I received a beautiful email from my friend, Leslie.  It confirms so many of the traits that I have written about animals over the last several years.  Check out the story, and see if you view animals in the same way.

Elephants never forget

SOMETHING IN THE UNIVERSE THAT IS MUCH GREATER AND DEEPER THAN HUMAN INTELLIGENCE.

THE ELEPHANT'S JOURNEY TO PAY RESPECT, BUT HOW DID THEY KNOW?

clip_image001

Lawrence Anthony, a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller The Elephant Whisperer, bravely rescued wildlife and rehabilitated elephants all over the globe from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo animals during US invasion in 2003.

On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died.

He is remembered and missed by his wife, 2 sons, 2 grandsons and numerous elephants.

Two days after his passing, the wild elephants showed up at his home led by two large matriarchs.

Separate wild herds arrived in droves to say goodbye to their beloved man-friend.

A total of 31 elephants had patiently walked over 12 miles to get to his South African House.

Witnessing this spectacle, humans were obviously in awe not only because of the supreme intelligence and precise timing that these elephants sensed about Lawrence 's passing, but also because of the profound memory and emotion the beloved animals evoked in such an organized way.

Walking slowly - for days - Making their way in a solemn one-by-one queue from their habitat to his house.

So, how after Anthony’s death, did the reserve’s elephants — grazing miles away in distant parts of the park — know?

“A good man died suddenly,” says Rabbi Leila Gal Berner, Ph.D., “and from miles and miles away, two herds of elephants, sensing that they had lost a beloved human friend, moved in a solemn, almost ‘funereal’ procession to make a call on the bereaved family at the deceased man’s home.”

“If there ever were a time, when we can truly sense the wondrous ‘interconnectedness of all beings,’ it is when we reflect on the elephants of Thula Thula. A man’s heart’s stops, and hundreds of elephants’ hearts are grieving. This man’s oh-so-abundantly loving heart offered healing to these elephants, and now, they came to pay loving homage to their friend.”

Lawrence's wife, Francoise, was especially touched, knowing that the elephants had not been to his house prior to that day for well over 3 years!

But yet they knew where they were going.

The elephants obviously wanted to pay their deep respects, honoring their friend who'd saved their lives - so much respect that they stayed for 2 days 2 nights without eating anything.

Then one morning, they left, making their long journey back .....

Judy

Compassion For All

The poster reads, “Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike, each has their suffering.” - Buddha

I am seeing more people go out of their way to help others.  Still, many people try to put down others, one-up the people around them, and compete with others.  These actions are not the way of love and compassion.

I wish for you to find tolerance for others, kindness for all, and compassion for those having trouble.

Blessings,

Judy
