Great Serpent - Spirit Animal

Whether you think of the Great Serpent as the serpent in the picture above, or as a snake, or a dragon, remember that our Ancestors long before Christianity, believed that Serpent had many roles.

Serpent’s greatest role was the symbol of the circle of life.  In many traditions, the serpent slept with it’s tail in it’s mouth, showing that life is circular.  In some traditions, Serpent curled around the roots of the tree of life, holding the tree in place and providing a base for it to thrive in.  If you think of the symbolism, and look around at parks and lawns, you will see that people still create circles around the trees, to give them a base, and even for protection.

The mystery of Serpent is that it moves through all of the elements in its various forms – dragon and fire or air, snake in water and earth – and provides a model for humans to be able to move through all of the elements as well.

If you have dreams of serpent, or if you see pictures as you go about your daily life, know that serpent is telling you to think about the circle of life and what you are doing with your life.

Peacefulness

 image

Right now, the most beautiful place on Earth is where there is peacefulness.  This is the place that our soul yearns to go to – to find that place where there is not any ego or power or selfishness.  We each have a need to find a place of peace where we can feel safe and where we can watch the stars or the clouds in the sky.

We need to know that in the peace, we do not need to watch our back (or our front or our sides) because we are protected.  We look for that place of peace all the time.

Most often it is a place of serenity inside you.  Sometimes, it is a physical place that you can go to.

Where is your place of peace?

Many blessings,

Judy

Joyous

image

This day, I will be absolutely joyous.  I will feel all the good and the beauty in the world, and I will move forward with great purpose.  I will let those around me feel the joy.  The light of joyous will shine from me.

I use joyous to erase the sadness and the hurt and the humiliation that those around me may suffer from.  I recognize that I choose to be joyous.  I am totally grounded in joyousness.

Moving forward from this day, I will carry joyous with me in my pocket so that I can pull it out and wave it at situations that will pull me down.

I like joy; I want to be joyous; I want to have fun on the set; I want to wear beautiful clothes and look pretty. I want to smile and I want to make people laugh. And that's all I want. I like it. I like being happy. I want to make others happy. - Doris Day

Many blessings,
