Valentine’s Day Feb 14 2026

Many people love Valentine’s Day because it is a chance to share love in February which is often cold and isolating in the north.  Some men find it a great time to propose to the person that they want to spend the rest of their life with.  For some folks, it is a chance to party.  Regardless of how you feel about the day, here is my wish for you.

Valentine’s Day Wish

May your day start with gentleness and a hot cup of coffee or tea.

May you feel the warmth of Mother Earth as she holds you and every person on Earth, in her nurturing.

May you move gracefully through the day, allowing any challenges or road blocks to slip peacefully away.

May you be filled with loving kindness and be well and happy!

Blessings,

Judy

Valentine’s Day 2025

image

Check out the amazing ways to celebrate Valentine's Day, even if you are single, or, by yourself for Valentine's Day.  This wondeful posting was on www.Gogratitude.org

#1: Hug a Tree
Appreciate Nature. Go hiking. Surround yourself in
the great outdoors. Soak up the beautiful energies
of Mother Earth. She has a heartbeat. Tune into it.
Express your Love and Gratitude for all the blessings
the Earth bestows you.
Then listen. Who knows? She may have a message for you.

#2: Sit Under the Stars and Appreciate the Cosmos
We live in a vast Universe. Contemplating the Infinite
need not make us feel small.
With love in our hearts, we remember our Connection
to All-That-Is. And recognize we are THAT too, the
realization of which fills our soul with the WONDER of
the Mystery.

#3: Express Appreciation to Your Beloveds
Expand the traditional sense of Valentine's Day Love
to include all your Beloveds. Your kindred. Your soul-
mates. Your friends. Your family. Your children. Your
parents. Your animal companions.
Make it a point to consider what you most appreciate
from those closest to you. Then make sure to express it.
Face to face. Or call them up. Or email them. Or text them.
Or write them a note.

#4: Hug Your Self
Love your Self. Appreciate your Self. Feel deep compassion
for your Self. This is probably the most important thing any
of us could do on Valentine's day and every other day.
For it is only as we Love, accept and honor ourselves -
ego shadows and all - that we can truly love and uplift others.

I love this.  I love that we need to do self care, and that we can show our appreciation to ourselves.  It is time!

Blessings,

Judy

Valentine’s Day is founded in love, the same love that a priest, Valentine, showed for others.  Here is his story.

Valentine was a holy priest in Rome, who, with St. Marius and his family, assisted the martyrs in the persecution under Claudius II. He was apprehended, and sent by the emperor to the prefect of Rome, who, on finding all his promises to make him renounce his faith in effectual, commended him to be beaten with clubs, and afterwards, to be beheaded, which was executed on February 14. – from www.lonekeep.com

Cupid, one of the gods in Roman mythology, is the force that controls erotic love. Cupid is the Roman counterpart to the Greek god Eros. His name comes from the Latin word cupido which translates to “passion, desire, yearning, wanting, or longing.” However, in Latin, Cupid is known as Amor. The Latin word amor means “love, infatuation, or passion.” from www.wisegeek.com
